Pennite 4512 with 12% glass has a flexural modulus of 754,000 psi compared with 610,000 psi for the older Pennite 4508 grade, a nylon 6 with 15% glass. Pennite 4512 also has flexural strength of 29,000 psi (up from 22,000 psi) and HDT of 386 F (vs. 340 F for 4508). Targets are automotive air dams, radiator shrouds, reservoirs, and engine covers. Meanwhile, new Pennite 4515FR is a nylon 6 sheet with 12% glass and UL 94V-0 rating.
