New Series BCZ2D heat-set nozzle cylinders from PHD's Plastic Packaging Components Group, Fort Wayne, Ind., are designed as drop-in replacements for use in Sidel's Series2 heat-set reheat stretch-blow machines.

New Series BCZ2D heat-set nozzle cylinders from PHD's Plastic Packaging Components Group, Fort Wayne, Ind., are designed as drop-in replacements for use in Sidel's Series2 heat-set reheat stretch-blow machines. These cylinders mount in the same space and bolt patterns, provide longer service life than competing products, and reduce maintenance and downtime, PHD claims. Cylinder bodies are machined aluminum and have heavy-duty urethane shock pads to absorb impact and eliminate metal-to-metal contact. Units come with FDA-approved lubrication for use in food packaging. An optional manifold and valve combination is said to decrease response time and simplify plumbing.
