A new generation of flexible laser marking machines for decorating geometrically complex parts of varying sizes, as well as small and large batches of parts, is now available from Germany’s FOBA Laser Marking and Engraving (Alltec GmbH, U.S. office in Wood Dale, Ill.) The M-Series comes in two housing sizes and three model options:
•M2000-B and M3000B are entry-level models with manual loading, programmable Z-axis with 590 mm overall travel, spacious worktable, and electric lift door.
•M2000-P and M3000-P have three programmable axes (X, Y, Z) standard and five axes optional. With speeds of 100 mm/sec, these laser stations are said to be particularly suited to processing large and small batches of parts in pallets.
•The MR model is a two-station turntable machine.
All M-Series machines have electric height adjustment so they can be operated either seated or standing and are easily accessible from all sides. Machines in this series can be customized with an extensive range of options such as additional axes, a rotation axis or a rotation/swiveling unit, and machine integration interfaces or camera systems. Users can choose between various powerful fiber laser systems which cover a wide range of uses. The configurable laser beam sources are entirely air-cooled and virtually maintenance-free. All machines are supplied with integrated lighting, a large laser safety window and a suction connection as standard.
