PSG Plastic Service, Mannheim, Germany (U.S. representation pending) has rolled out a new spring-loaded machine shut-off nozzle as an addition to its Fuchslocher series. The new Z-60-B (photo) has a flanged cylinder that can be actuated pneumatically or hydraulically. The nozzle is designed to process difficult resins and can handle injection pressures to 36,275 psi.

PSG also rolled out a new shut-off nozzle for micro-molding. Its Prima Series has a new M 10,5/3-L high-precision nozzle with 6.5-mm diam. Optimized heat dissipation and special materials of construction are said to prevent adhesion of the needle at the gate. It handles abrasive materials and process temperatures up to 662 F and is said to allow fast color changes.

Third, PSG introduced HRS-Touch, a new digital touchscreen hot-runner controller for up to 128 zones. Status of all 128 zones is displayed in one view, and detailed information can be shown on four zones at a time. Trend data and alarms can be displayed. The controller can be networked via Ethernet, RS-485, or CANbus. Tel: +49 621 7162-0 • www.psg-online.de
