JoeTools Inc. in Carrollton, Ga., is an 18-month-old company founded by Joe Dixon, formerly of wire/cable makers Draka and General Cable. JoeTools offers crosshead dies in all sizes for wire/cable coating and in-line dies for pipe and tubing. So far, JoeTools has built dies ranging from a large crosshead die to coat flexible PVC on 6-in. diam. power cable, down to tiny dies for nylon 6 medical tubing with 0.012-in. OD and 0.005-in. ID. Dixon believes his company is the only toolmaker to offer custom thermal insulation with its crossheads, which can provide energy savings greater than 10%. JoeTools’ ThermoGuard insulating wraps are made of ceramic-fiber filling in a fluoropolymer jacket. JoeTools also builds screws, barrels, and breaker plates. (770) 832-7866 • www.joe-tools.com
