Three new grades of DuraGrip SEBS-type TPEs from Advanced Polymer Alloys, Wilmington, Del., bond to a wide range of thermoplastics in overmolding and coextrusion. The DuraGrip 6000 series are general-purpose grades said to bond well to PP and PE. The soft-touch 6800 series is FDA-compliant and also bonds well to polyolefins. The 6100 series reportedly bonds to PC, ABS, PC/ABS, nylon, ASA, and other engineering resins. The new TPEs come in 30 to 80 Shore A hardness and in natural, black, translucent, and clear versions.
