WEB EXCLUSIVE: GLS Thermoplastic Elastomers, McHenry, Ill., a unit of PolyOne Corp., has introduced two new grades of halogen-free, flame-retardant (HFFR) TPEs for consumer electronic power cords and auxiliary cables. OnFlex HFFR 310 was developed for cable jackets, and OnFlex HFFR 320 for flexible power cord insulation. They are non-halogen, non-phthalate alternatives to flexible vinyl and can be processed in the same equipment as flexible PVC. Both grades have received the UL VW-1 flame-test rating for finished cable. (800) 457-8777 • glstpes.com
