A new internet training program on safe handling of MDI is available to customers of BASF Polyurethanes, Wyandotte, Mich., and its Minneapolis subsidiary, Foam Enterprises LLC. The program was developed by BASF in cooperation with industry trade associations. It is designed to make safety training more convenient for customers because they can access a special website for instruction whenever and as often as they like. The site offers customized training videos covering proper unloading of drums, intermediate bulk containers, inter-modal portable tanks, tank cars, and tank trucks. Other topics are emergency response and physical characteristics and health effects of MDI.
