A new Optimax 3D printing optimization software and hardware package from Israel’s Objet Geometries Ltd. (U.S. office in Billerica, Mass.) is said to automate resin management, improve resin utilization, reduce the risk of human error in loading and unloading of cartridges, and ensure model quality on very long runs. Optimax is designed to support all new Eden350V and 500V printers and is available as an upgrade for previously installed Eden V-series machines. The package comprises three software and hardware modules. One automates many aspects of resin handling. Continuously monitoring the material cartridge in the machine, it automatically identifies the material type and the weight of residual material remaining in the cartridge. It also automates printer setup for that material. Another module is said to save up to 15% in material consumption. The Built-in-Tests module reportedly ensures maximum quality, particularly on long jobs, and facilitates troubleshooting. (866) 676-1533 • www.2objet.com
