A new line of photopolymers for rapid prototyping is said to offer PP-like toughness, strength, and flexibility. DurusWhite 430 photopolymer is the newest addition to the FullCure line of modeling materials from Israel’s Objet Geometries Ltd. (U.S. office in Billerica. Mass.). It is designed to work with Objet’s 3D printing systems—Connex 500 and Eden 500V, 350V, 350, and 330/333. DurusWhite is said to give the milky-white look and feel of PP. It has ultimate elongation of 44.2% and elastic modulus of 164,575 psi. It reportedly simulates PP’s fatigue resistance and enables snap-fit and living-hinge functionality.
