A family of electrically conductive PPS compounds has been introduced by Techmer Lehvoss Compounds, Clinton, Tenn. The company also launched a pair of electrically conductive nylon 6 compounds that maintain their impact resistance and tensile strength. New PPS compounds include Luvotech TLC80009, a 20% carbon-filled material that is electrically conductive and offers high dimensional stability for use in electronic data storage and semiconductor chip transport. And for applications requiring high wear resistance, new Luvotech TLC90039 has a 30% glass loading and internal lubrication with a special grade of PTFE. Wear resistance is also provided by Luvotech TLC80010, a 30% carbon-filled material with PTFE, which has electrical conductivity and heat resistance above 500 F. New electrically conductive nylon 6 compounds include Luvotech TLC90036, which boasts exceptional heat stability and impact resistance, and TLC90037, which offers still higher impact resistance, even in the cold.
