A radiometer that measures UV light is designed to monitor UV-curing processes. Newly available from Dymax Corp., Torrington, Conn., the Accu-Cal 100 can measaure UV light up to 10 W/cm2 emitted from both stationary flood-curing lamps or lamps used in conveyor systems, thus eliminating the need for two different radiometers. The unit measures both radiation intensity and total energy. It also has a 12-month calibration period, which is said to result in lower cost and less downtime than is typically associated with other radiometers that require more frequent calibration.
