The new DX platform for robotic end-of-arm-tooling from SAS Automation, Dayton, Ohio has a D-shaped profile that provides six to eight sides for mounting and mating robotic components. It provides two more mounting locations than square or rectangular EOAT platforms. Two sides are at opposite 45° angles, which allows greater flexibility, such as back-to-back mounting in a round or “tree-trunk” boom style.
