Four new models have been added to the 7-series of three-axis servo robots from Wittmann Inc., Torrington, Conn. This series features a new programmable disengagement of the kick-stroke axis, called X-Free, which relieves the user from the need to program the exact part-removal position. Also, the servomotors are controlled by compact modules integrated into the robot itself, eliminating the need for an external floor-mounted control cabinet. New model W 731 C handles payloads up to 22 lb. New W 733 C (photo) has a telescoping vertical arm and a max. payload of 33 lb, while the new W 732 C carries up to 44 lb and the W 743 C takes payloads up to 77 lb.
