Automated Assemblies Corp., Clinton, Mass., has supplemented its top-entry Raptor robots with a side-entry model for high-speed operations. The new Raptor SE-310 operates at speeds up to 5.2 meter/sec. It has lightweight carbon-fiber end-of-arm tooling and patented InteliMotion control. The model comes with single or dual arm and floor, tabletop, or overhead mounting. The company can supply complete in-mold labeling or decorating work cells and container stacking or box loading systems. The unit is suited to presses of 100 to 600 tons and has a maximum payload capacity of 33 lb and stroke up to 118 in.
