GP:50 New York Ltd., Grand Island, N.Y. has launched the iDucer line of Bluetooth-enabled melt pressure and temperature sensors for polymer extrusion and other melt applications. The free, corresponding GP:50 iDucer IOS app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, and for wireless data logging, “iLoggerBLE” (Bluetooth Low Energy) software is available that can allow wireless data logging of up to six melt pressure temperature sensors simultaneously.
The battery powered, low energy Bluetooth output pressure and temperature transducer is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and above and smart devices. The Bluetooth digital output can be read from any laptop, tablet, phone, or smart device with Bluetooth 4.0 and later capabilities. For computers, the operating system must be Windows based, and the dongle must be installed. GP 50 notes that the iDucer integrates all the features required for a Bluetooth Smart application, including Bluetooth Radio (transceiver), software stack, and GATT based profiles.
GP:50’s melt pressure sensors are interchangeable and come in industry-standard ½ 20 UNF and metric configurations.
