WEB EXCLUSIVE Eurotherm will display publicly for the first time its MACO Compact System for the Van Dorn HT machine line, whose original control systems are no longer supported by the OEM. It is a totally integrated, expandable system that is said to provide better control of the injection process to improve part quality, enhance energy savings and reduce waste. Eurotherm will also roll out a new MACO Compact Control System for injection molding, featuring its Impact II closed-loop process control. The system creates a theoretical model of the process after a few molding cycles and uses that model along with hundreds of programmed rules to compensate for any deviations. The company will also release the iPact melt-pressure control module for its MACO Compact system. It utilizes the Intellimold closed-loop melt-pressure sensing system from MGV Enterprises, Ann Arbor, Mich.
