The new Victory Standard series of tiebarless horizontal hydraulic presses from Engel Canada Inc., Guelph, Ont., costs about 10% less than the Victory Tech and Victory Power versions of similar size. The Standard series ranges from 28 to 130 tons. It has a new modular injection unit with reduced mass on moving components. Platens also are lighter and strengthened against deflection. The hydraulic system is accessible through a central door for easy maintenance. The system also uses Engel's new EC 200 control and a variable-volume pump. A new safety shield around the clamp and injection units and new all-glass doors will be extended to the entire Victory range.
