A new, high-speed cycle-counting device from CUMSA USA LLC, Troy, Mich. can reportedly count up to 500 cycles/min. to ensure real traceability. Called the Electronic Cycle Counter Blue Line, the unit runs up to 9,999,999 shots, and during production stores the total number of shots, along with a partial resettable counter to control smaller production runs. Testing is available up to 25 first shots.  On this cycle counter, batteries can be replaced without losing stored information. The counter is said to be easy to assemble into the mold; no screws are required.

All devices are designed to protect any alteration attack, as any intent of fraudulent alteration of the information is shown on the screen.
