The DCX Digital Power Supply Series from Branson Ultrasonics, Danbury, Conn., is said to provide complete and precise amplitude control throughout the weld cycle.

Other advantages noted is its programmable starting ramp times that help to improve cycle rate and throughput; six levels of power supply protection which helps maintain weld quality and extend product life; and, enhanced flexibility via multiple weld modes (e.g., time and energy mode). It is offered in four compact sizes, and form factors including—horizontal, vertical with side mount, rack mount and rear plane mount, facilitations flexible integration and system design. Some models are said to reduce the size of the power supply unit by more than 50%.
