Thermal Fluid Systems for Process Temperatures from -10°F to 650°F (-23°C to 343°C)
For over 55 years, Mokon has set the standard for high quality circulating liquid temperature control systems in many industries including plastics processing, packaging, converting, composites, food processing, medical/pharmaceutical, chemical processing, rubber, printing, general processing and many more.
Mokon manufactures a complete line of water temperature control systems for process heating requirements up to 300°F (149°C) and heating capacities from 2 kW to 96 kW. Heat transfer oil temperature control systems are available in a range of sizes up to 650°F (343°C), 5 to 120 gpm flow rates and heating capacities up to 144 kW per zone. Mokon's portable chillers, available from ¼-ton up to 40-ton, accommodate the full spectrum of applications. The line is also available in full-range, offering heating and chilling in one system, dual circuit capacity control from 10 to 40 tons, low temperature applications, and modulating design for high-efficiency. Central chiller systems provide continuous centralized process cooling down to 20°F, available with capacities of 30 to 120 tons. Pump tank systems are available from 250 gallons and larger and can be integrated with a Mokon central process water chiller, cooling tower, cold climate cooler or water system. Blown film coolers are also offered as well as power & process control panels.
All Mokon systems can be customized to match your application perfectly. Mokon prides itself on its ability to customize or design systems that address specific customer requirements including: electrical specifications, control capabilities, unique sizes, specific construction materials, increased fluid flow, increased heating capacities, special colors, and much more! There will be an extraordinary range of new auxiliary equipment on display at the show.
Mokon, Buffalo, N.Y., has expanded its BFC Series of blown film air coolers, which are now available from 600 to 9000 cfm.
Smaller, more efficient, and environmentally friendly are the themes for new heating/cooling products at NPE.
If you never paid much attention to what kind of refrigerant is circulating inside your plastics chillers, it may be time you did.
At the NPE 2009 show in Chicago, half a dozen exhibitors showed new cooling equipment that emphasized improved performance at about the same or lower cost.
The BFC Series of blown-film coolers from Mokon, Buffalo, promises to boost film output, particularly in warmer climates or other regions where ambient air temperature rises during the summer.
Injection MoldingHybrid Press Has Electric ClampNew injection presses that combine servo-electric and hydraulic movements to achieve high performance with energy efficiency will be discussed by Arburg Inc., Newington, Conn.
Mokon announces the availability of power and process control panels and systems for commercial and industrial applications.
Mokon, Buffalo, N.Y., has added larger models of hot-water and oil circulating temperature control units (TCUs). The Hydrotherm II water TCU, which has stainless steel as the main component for wetted surfaces, is now available with up to 12-kw heating capacity and pump sizes up to 3 hp and flow rates to 60 gpm.
Mokon's Blown Film Air Coolers offer an increase in blown film productivity, especially in warmer climates or other environments where ambient air temperatures rise during the summer.
Mokon announces the availability of the newly redesigned HF-2 Series Heat Transfer Fluid System, updated with improved performance, energy efficiency and reduced space requirements for large flow and higher heating capacity applications.
Re-engineered to improve accuracy, reliablity of operation and increase output, the Hydrotherm has the highest quality components and construction materials in the industry.
When it’s cold outside, save water and energy by turning off your chiller.
Mokon's new C3 Cold Climate Cooler System offers a cost-effective solution to process cooling in cold weather areas.
Mokon, Buffalo, N.Y., now offers its Iceman portable chillers in dual-circuit models from 10- to 40-ton capacity.
Iceman Full Range chiller/heater combinations are now available in a wider range of capacities up to 35 tons.
At NPE in Chicago, chillers and TCUs were put on a lean energy diet and redesigned for greater durability. Suppliers also added features while taking out cost.
Most of the news at the show is in fluid-circulating mold-temperature-control systems.
Injection MoldingSimplified Hot Runners Save Time & CostA new lower-cost hot-runner alternative to valve gating is suited to less critical cosmetic applications where users need predictable and reliable gate opening but not sequential gate operation.
Band-heater developments at the show are focused on high-temperature applications such as “thixomolding” and on prolonging heater life by minimizing leaks.
If you’re the sort of manager that can’t resist checking up on your plant after you go home for the night, now you can click on your web browser and read out mold temperatures right there on your PC.
