| Process Control Corporation HQ - Atlanta, GA |
Established in 1967, Process Control Corporation has an unending commitment to the design and engineering of advanced auxiliary machinery for the plastics processing industry. Our goal is to provide the most accurate equipment and exceptional customer service. We revolutionized processing with development of Automatic Scrap Recycling for in-line processing of film scrap and the first continuous gravimetric blending system. Process Control continues to lead the industry with advanced design and innovative solutions for the global marketplace.

The Guardian® Series 2 gravimetric batch blender was developed for processors who want the simplicity of operation combined with the most accurate dispensing and superior blend homogeneity at a low cost.
The X Series Continuous Gravimetric Blender offers unsurpassed blend accuracy and blend homogeneity in a wide range of configurations to meet the needs of any application.
The recovery of scrap generated during the production of blown film, cast film, tape and extrusion coating processes is ak ey element in reducing manufacturing costs. The ASR system cna recycle trim scrap and off-spec roll scrap in-line and turn your scrap back into profit without the expense of repelletizing.
Gravitrol extrusion control offers the benefits of improved product quality, reduced material usage, quicker startups and product changeovers, reduced scrap, and improved product repeatability. At the same time, it reduces the operator's workload by maintaining a constant output, regardless of screen pack or material varations.
Process Control offers a complete line of material handling systems from railcar unloading and bulk storage to vacuum and pressure conveying systems for in-plant distribution and resin drying systems.
Accuracy is one of the least understood aspects of blending. The differences between batch and continuous blenders, how blend accuracy is calculated and controlled, which blender type is more accurate, how much accuracy is really required, and how payback is calculated are discussed here.
The newest member of the Guardian Series 2 family of gravimetric batch blender from Atlanta-based Process Control Corp., a 12-kg model, has a see-through mixing chamber door that allows for an unobstructed view of material in the mixing chamber.
They are both brushless and encoderless for far superior reliability and performance and longer life.
At least 16 companies introduced new dryers at the big show in Chicago. The new models span a range of drying technologies, but most sport features that save space and cost and make the dryers simpler and more reliable.
Gravimetric blenders provide for the most consistent and accurate blends of plastic materials and additives, but even these seemingly simple machines need some TLC after a long production run.
Visitors to the recent NPE 2009 show in Chicago were looking for materials handling equipment that could do more than dry, blend, or convey resins. It had to do those things while saving energy, providing faster and easier maintenance, speeding product changeovers, reducing labor cost, minimizing waste, and providing better value for money. The new products cited below addressed those needs and more.
Process Control Corp., Atlanta, has brought out its first continuous gravimetric powder blender.
WEB EXCLUSIVE Process Control Corp., Atlanta, has a new Quick Ship program for three of its most popular sizes of Guardian batch weight blenders.
AccuDispense is a new single-ingredient gravimetric dispensing unit from Process Control Corp., Atlanta.
Auger feeders for regrind and powder are now available on the two largest models of Guardian gravimetric batch blenders from Process Control Corp., Atlanta.
Responding to demand for a method to weigh and store virgin or reprocessed pelletized materials, Process Control Corp., Atlanta, has come out with the Gravimetric Inventory Management System.
Responding to demand for a method to weigh and store virgin or reprocessed pelletized materials,Process Control Corp., Atlanta, has come out with the Gravimetric Inventory Management System.
A larger model with 18 kg (40 lb) capacity has been added to the Guardian of batch gravimetric blenders from Process Control Corp., Atlanta.
A new controller for multiple vacuum pumps, valves, dust collectors, and up to 48 vacuum receivers is available from Process Control Corp., Atlanta.
Adding liquid silane crosslinkers, blowing agents, colorants, or other liquid additives can now be done with gravimetric accuracy by means of a new liquid feeder available for X-Series continuous gravimetric blenders from Process Control Corp., Atlanta.
NPE 2006 held no revolutionary changes in dryers, blenders, feeders, loaders, or conveying controls, but widely adopted improvements make the newest models easier to use and maintain—and easier on the budget, too.
Dryers, feeders, blenders, loaders, metal detectors, level sensors, mechanical and pneumatic conveyors, silos, bins, pumps, filters, valves, box fillers, bag dumpers, and materials-handling control systems constitute one of the biggest categories of products on display at NPE.
Processors today face bewildering choices of at least five basic types of dryers, whose capabilities are subject to conflicting claims from equipment suppliers. For the buyer, the most basic questions are: How much drying is needed for the job and which dryer types are up to the task?
Topping recycling news at the latest giant K Show in Dusseldorf, Germany, were new compactor technologies for films and foams that can densify plastic waste for recycling and even mold finished parts—not just save space in a landfill.
From pneumatic systems that deliver materials to the processing machine to conveyors and handling devices that pull parts out the back, the trend appears to be “smaller and smarter.” NPE 2000 will show lots of downsized auxiliaries designed for mini processing machines, as well as more compact equipment of every size that frees up floor space.
The big show in Chicago presented more new loaders, feeders, blenders, and conveying controls than you could count. They’re more flexible, easier to maintain, and easier to control. Many are web-enabled, and some are lower in cost.
Whether you're expanding your current plant or consolidating operations and moving equipment from one location to another, you will need to make sure that your material-handling system delivers the productivity you expect.
Auxiliary equipment is shrinking to catch up with a growing market for small precision parts. Dryers, loaders, blenders, grinders, and chillers have all dropped in size for accuracy and fast product changeovers.
When you look at competing claims for gravimetric batch blenders, the issue is accuracy. Virtually all makers of the equipment claim similar accuracy, but the numbers appear to mean different things to different people. You need to know what counts for you and how to test accuracy with your own resin and regrind.
