American Starlinger-Sahm Moves into New Headquarters
New HQ in Fountain Inn, S.C.
In June, American Stalinger-Sahm, Inc. completed the move into its new North American headquarters in Fountain Inn, S.C. It was previously located in Greenville, S.C. The new facility has 23,000 ft2 of machine display area, spare-parts warehouse, and office space. Machinery on display will include a Starlinger recoStar universal recycling line, viscoSheet equipment for extruding sheet from undried PET with up to 100% RPET, and a deCon dryer/decontamination unit for food-grade RPET, as well as Sahm fiber winding equipment.
Composite RR ties could finally be on their way to becoming the next big thing in plastic lumber. They are attracting interest from makers of marine pilings, another category of structural wood replacements.
Almost all extrusion processes pass melt through wire-mesh screens on the way to the die to provide filtering and improved mixing.
There’s more to TP polyesters than you think. You may know PET, PBT, and PETG—but what about PCT, PCTG, PCTA, and PTT? If you’re not sure what they are, how their properties compare, and who sells them, we have the answers—and lots of new developments to report.
