Mayfield Hts., OH -March 24, 2009-Brush Wellman Inc. introduces MoldMAX V® tube for injection and blow mold cores and cavities, high performance racing engines, industrial heat sinks and many industrial applications requiring a combination of strength and high thermal conductivity. Responding to customer desires to reduce both material scrap and machining time, MoldMAX V is now available in tube up to 7" OD with a wall thickness as low as 0.200". Other forms available include rounds, plates and parts finished machined per customer drawings. MoldMAX V is a copper nickel silicon chromium alloy with an average hardness of 28 HRC and thermal conductivity approximately 4-5X greater than P20 tool steel. Typical applications for MoldMAX V have included cores and cavities of injection and blow molds in the plastics tooling market. Now, due to its high conductivity and moderately high strength, MoldMAX V is also proving successful in high performance racing engines, industrial heat sinks and many other industrial applications requiring both high thermal conductivity and strength. Brush Wellman's complete family of MoldMAX mold and tooling alloys consists of the following. Visit www.MoldMAX.com for more information.
