Emerald Performance Sells Additives Business to DyStar
Company's specialty additives for plastics include non-phthalate plasticizers.
Emerald Performance Materials, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, has completed the sale of its Specialties and Polymer Additives and Nitriles business groups to DyStar LP, Charlotte, N.C. The latter provides products and services to the textile industry, including lubricants, finishes, and colors for garments and other products.
Emerald’s leading brands serve a wide range of end markets including plastics, flavors and fragrances, food and beverage, personal and household care, composites, structural adhesives, and coatings. Specialty additives for plastics include non-phthalate plasticizers, foam control and specialty silicone additives, and reactive modifiers. Included in the sale are Emerald’s four plants—in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlotte, N.C., Cheyenne, Wyo., and Henry, Ill.
