National Plastics and Seals Buys Innovative Acrylic Design
Companies combine to form "one-stop" source for plastic fabrication.
National Plastics & Seals (NPS), Schaumburg, Ill., announned in October that it had purchased Innovative Acrylic Design (IAD), located in McHenry, Ill. NPS is a leading distributor of plastic sheet, rod and tube profile, heat shrink tubing, insulation sleeving, o-rings, and molded products. IAD is well known for its custom design, fabrication, and manufacturing of plastic displays.
The acquisition of IAD allows NPS the ability to offer its customers, customized professional guidance from design stage, through prototyping, to production start up of any fabricated plastic component, NPS said in a prepared statement. NPS added that the combined companies represent the "one stop" source for plastic fabrication: design input, prototyping, and production.
NPS said it continues to reinvest capital into the business to strengthen its ability to meet the needs of customers in the plastics marketplace. Some of these investments include new personnel, upgrades to new business computer software, ISO 9001 Certification, purchase of various CNC equipment, and purchase of a modern expanded headquarters/building.
