Online Program Eases Tool Quoting

New free online software from Progressive Components, Wauconda, Ill., lets users quickly estimate tooling costs. Its new “Quick Quote” feature is on the company’s website at www.procomps.com. The software calculates tooling costs from design to assembly based on data entered by the user—such as cavitation, side actions, shop rates, and even sampling time. Each step of the quoting process can be documented. Users can change the cavitation without disrupting the remaining data that has already been input into the program. Up to three variations on the job estimate can be provided.
