Fully Hydraulic Injection Molding Machine

In fully hydraulic injection molding machine all process relevant movements (recovery, injection, mold open/close) are executed via hydraulic motors, or pistons.

Until the early 1890s, fully hydraulic injection molding machines were the only machine type on the market and they are usually still the most preferred option.

Advantages of fully hydraulic plastic injection molding machines:

  • Ideal choice for production of large-volume parts, highly complex parts (automotive industry), components of high-tech products with a perfect surface or thick-walled parts
  • Favored for actuating core pulls and valve gates
  • Base price is typically lower than a comparable all-electric machine
  • Faster return of investment thanks to high availability and low costs for spare parts
  • Opportunity for better injection rates, precise injection and high level of process stability
  • Large shot size - if a higher injection performance is needed, for example for very thin-walled parts, the performance can be increased using optional hydraulic accumulators
  • Exceptional clamping force (up to 55000 kN)
  • Higher resistance of wear and tear of the hydraulic parts
  • Energy savings due to servohydraulics operating only when necessary - if the machine is not producing parts the motors are also idle and do not use energy
