Bulk Resin Storage and Handling

It makes sense that you get better resin prices when you buy in bulk but then you also need ways to store large quantities of resin. Silos and surge bins are the usual ways to keep ready reserves of resin.

Loading resin into a silo from a railcar requires railcar-unloading equipment specifically designed for that purpose.

Large vacuum receivers are used to load resin into surge bins and vacuum pumps are used to draw the resin into the surge bins. – and out of the surge bins through take-off boxes to other destinations – like drying hoppers.
