A new standard roll-fed thermoformer comes with "basic" features and is available for quick delivery from stock at a price of $269,000. The 2500 Basic thermoformer from Sencorp Inc., Hyannis, Mass., is aimed at custom formers with short runs and frequent product changes. "We have a number of customers who say technology isn't their top priority but fast delivery is," says Jim Tedesco, Sencorp's v.p. of sales and marketing. The company is building the machines in groups of four. They have a 100-in., 22zone quartz oven, 22-ton forming press, 75-ton integral trim press, and 30 x 36 in. forming and trimming area.
