Reynolds Packaging KAMA, the sheet extrusion division of Reynolds Food Packaging, Hazleton, Pa., will produce thermoformable sheet made of Cereplast Inc.’s starch-based biodegradable resins. The rollstock, targeted for food service packaging and other uses, will be available to select converters followed by a rollout to major brand clients. The sheet meets ASTM D6400 compostability standards and is designed to biodegrade quickly without leaving any plastic residue in commercial and municipal composts.
