EXTRUSION: Downstream Line for Medical Tubing

American Kuhne, Ashaway, R.I.  launched a new line of downstream extrusion equipment for pipe, profile and tubing. The line includes precisioon cooling tanks that feature an electropolished micro finish to improve clean up and corrosin resistance. Options inclkude vacuum assist and a heater reservoir. The tanks are available in 3-, 5-, 10-, 15-, and 20-ft lenghts.

A new servo puller/cutter system (pictured) is offered with straight or taper/bump control software. It includes an optional dual-servo belt-drive system for ultra-precision. Also offered are small compact conveyors for medical tubing that integrate with the puller/cutter and gauge controller for good/bad sorting. The conveyors are furnished in 6-, 8-, and 10-ft lengths.

At K 2013, American Kuhne also rolled out its new series of die heads.
