At last fall’s Fakuma 2015 show in Germany, Priamus System Technologies (U.S. office in Brunswick, Ohio), introduced a new for its cavity-pressure and temperature monitoring systems. The new “Q” (for Quick) Button allows automatic setting of monitoring limits for one or several process parameters. As soon as the process is optimized, and good parts are being produced consistently, the user presses the Q-Button and all designated parameters for a good part are saved, along with automatically determined SPC limits for six-sigma quality monitoring. For example, the system can set targets and limits for maximum pressure, pressure profiles, and mold temperatures. The system can also be set to detect whether the process is stable or drifting.
