Two new thermoformable TPO sheet grades from A. Schulman Inc., Akron, Ohio, are claimed to offer 33% greater stiffness than competitive products, enabling processors to downgauge. Invision PX, a modified-PP-capped TPO, and monolayer Invision TX boast a flexural modulus of 400,000 psi with ductility down to -30 C. High-gloss Invision PX is said to have exceptional surface durability and a distinctness-of-image (DOI) rating above 80. It is aimed at side and door panels, bumpers, and hoods for automotive, marine, and agricultural use. Invision TX is for structural parts in industrial equipment, fan shrouds, and dunnage.
