Kleerdex Co., Bloomburg, Pa., has introduced its first thermoformable polycarbonate sheet for aircraft interiors. Kydex FST sheet is made from Lexan FST9705 PC resin from SABIC Innovative Plastics, Pittsfield, Mass. It reportedly meets FAR 25.853 (a1i and a1ii), FAR 25.853(D) and the smoke-toxicity limits of ABD 0031 and D6-51377 and complies with Boeing and Airbus flame/smoke/toxicity requirements.
