Versatile, Small-Footprint Dust Collector

Targets plastic and fiber-reinforced plastic dust created during manufacturing, pelletizing, conveying, cutting, grinding and finishing.

The Senturion from Robovent, Sterling Heights, Mich., is billed as a powerful and versatile industrial dust collector for plastics. With a modular design and advanced filter technology, Senturion reportedly has the smallest footprint/cfm per in the industry and is highly adaptable for control of plastic and fiber-reinforced plastic dust created during manufacturing, pelletizing, conveying, cutting, grinding and finishing.

The Senturion is built using two- and four-cartridge frames, which can be put together in different configurations. This allows the dust collector to be sized precisely for the application, from an individual grinding station or conveyor to an entire facility. Mix-and-match intakes, hoppers, fire and explosion safety options and afterfilters provide numerous opportunities for customization.

The unit can be adapted for either source capture or ambient filtration. It can also be equipped with HEPA or activated carbon after-filters for collection of ultrafine dust or fumes created during plastic production and handling. Static-reducing filter media can be used to minimize buildup of charged dust on the filters and reduce the risk of self-ignition within the collector.

With standardized frames and components, Senturion ships fast and minimizes installation time, so manufacturers can get their dust collection system up and running quickly. It was also designed for easy maintenance, with filters and dust bins easily accessible for faster service calls.
