About High-Technology Corp.

Since 1969, Hitech™ fully automatic screen changers have set the standard for continuous melt filtration. The screen changer operates in a fully continuous mode in harmony with the rest of the extrusion process.  The filter screen moves imperceptibly slowly so as not to disrupt the polymer flow, and PLC based controls automatically adjust the rate of screen advancement to the rate at which the screen is clogging. Steady head pressure and melt temperatures are thereby maintained for months of uninterrupted operation.

The 120’ roll of filter screen is the only moving element in the screen changer. There are no hydraulics, no mechanism to wear.  Instead, the extruder head pressure provides the force to advance the screen. No operator attention is required for day-to-day operation because there are no hot breaker plates to handle or dirty screen packs to change. A 120 roll of screen lasts many months in non-stop operation.  There are no mechanical seals to wear and leak in a Hitech™ screen changer. . Instead, perfectly leak-proof polymer seals are maintained by means of cold circulating water.

Hitech™ screen changers are suitable for use with all thermoplastics and are used around the world in a wide range of extrusion processes, including: blown film, blow molding, cast film, co-extrusion, sheet, foam, thermoforming, pipe and profile.

Hitech™ screen changers are 100% manufactured in our plant in Hackensack, NJ.enabling us to guarantee the quality of everything we supply and ensuring that parts and service are available even for screen changers that have been in operation for many decades.
