Asahi Kasei Plastics North America (APNA), a manufacturer of high-performance engineering thermoplastics and chemically-coupled PP resins (which recently merged with Asaclean Purging Compounds), has designed its booth to showcase its wide range of technology, featuring kiosks for the many sectors it services. Whether it is automotive, solar or electrical, a customized solution and application examples are available at the booth. Two new displays debuting at the booth include kiosks dedicated to 3D printing filaments and another for sustainability. In its own booth, Asaclean is running live demos in the machinery area.

The 3D printing filament and additive manufacturing product line is new for APNA, which aims to transcend its ‘award winning’ Xyron modified PPE alloys with PPS, PP or nylon, and Thermylene chemically-coupled glass-reinforced PP resins.with its introduction of Xyron and Thermylene filaments used by industry experts and hobbyists alike. Xyron 3D filaments are said to feature an excellent balance of heat resistance and impact strength, and can replace PC/ABS and PEI alternatives. Thermylene offers both pellets and 3D filaments that feature high strength and stiffness, do not need to be dried, and have lower warpage compared to traditional unfilled PP alternatives.

The sustainability kiosk is showcasing the company’s feed stream diversity and new recycled grade series. The first of the series is Thermylene R PP compounds, which aims to lower carbon footprint while providing lower density, chemical resistance and superior strength. The second of the series is Thermylon R nylon compounds, which also aims to lower carbon footprint while offering elements such as high-temperature use and stiffness for metal replacement applications. Experts are available to discuss topics such as postindustrial recycled or postconsumer recycled options to help with circular feed stream initiatives.

The Asaclean team is highlighting the Plus Grade,  a high-performance, recyclable purging concentrate that is said to offer the same performance and cleaning power as Asaclean Purging Compounds but blends seamlessly with a processor's own production resins. This grade features benefits such as recyclability, heat-activated concentrates and compatibility with most resin types. Live demos and prizes are available throughout the show.

APNA is also highlighting other key news, such as being nominated ass a Best Place to Work for the 10th year in a row, and an exclusive Asaclean distribution partnership for the United States with PolySource.
