Arburg Opens Subsidiary in Vietnam
The newly established branch in Ho Chi Minh City gives the German maker of injection molding machines 36 locations in 26 countries worldwide.
In July, Arburg opened a subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With this newest subsidiary, Arburg now operates 36 subsidiaries in 26 countries globally. Counting representation via trading partners, the company has a formal presence in more than 100 countries around the globe.
In a release, Arburg noted that it established this subsidiary to make products and services more readily available to the growing local market. David Chan, Arburg’s managing director ASEAN, said Vietnam’s strategic location in the ASEAN region makes it an important outpost for further growth in the market.
The new subsidiary has a small team of sales and service personnel, and Arburg Vietnam is also networked with the other subsidiaries in the Asian market as well as the regional Arburg Technology Factory (ATF) in Pinghu, China. In October, the 21st Vietnam International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition (VietnamPlas 2023) was held in Ho Chi Minh City. Yorkers Trade and Marketing Service Co. Ltd., one of the show’s organizers, said the country’s plastic and rubber industry currently registers an annual growth rate of 8%.
