M-TECS Magnetic Mold Change Clamping System -
The M-TECS electric permanent magnet clamping system securely holds the mold in place, even in the case of a power failure. The permanent magnets generate the required magnetic clamping force independent of any power source. Electrical power is only required for 1-2 seconds to initially magnetize or demagnetise the mold. The M-TECS' electronic controls constantly monitors the various parameters of the magnetic clamping system. The status of the clamp system is interfaced with the machine controls. A fault will signal and shut down the press, protecting the operator and the equipment. - M-TECS 130 for plastics processing - Magnetic Mold Clamping for plastic injection mold machines. The new M-TECS 130 (max 266°F) is designed especially for use on plastic injection mold machines. Our new long pole technology uses double magnets to provide up to 20% more clamping force over square pole technology. The flexible design offers quick change of different size molds in a single-minute exchange time. Mold changes can now be performed in a single-minute exchange time, with 20% more clamping than older magnetic technologies. Electrical power is only required for two seconds to unclamp. There are numerous other safety features with the new magnetic clamps, along with reduced energy cost.
