New Clamp and Go Magnetic Clamping Systems for Injection Molding
Hilma's new M-TECS Clamp and Go magnetic clamping system provides a ready to mount solution for quick, two second clamping on injection molding machines. The magnetic plates come with precut mounting holes compatible with both SPI and EuroMap standards. Competitively priced, the clamping system comes in three sizes, for up to 200 ton injection mold machines, and offers numerous safety features.
Carr Lane Roemheld Mfg. Co. is a joint venture that unites the Old World craftsmanship of Römheld GmbH, top German workholding manufacturer, with Carr Lane Mfg. Co., America's premier tooling supplier. Since 1982, Carr Lane Roemheld has supplied all of North America with engineered hydraulic clamping and quick tool change systems -- backed by responsive service and technical support -- under the SWIFTSURE and HILMA brand names. The HILMA division of Carr Lane Roemheld offers a complete range of quick tool change products with a high degree of clamping force control for die, mold and forging applications. HILMA systems are universally adaptable and permit safe, rapid changeover to new production lots.
The M-TECS electric permanent magnet clamping system securely holds the mold in place, even in the case of a power failure. The permanent magnets generate the required magnetic clamping force independent of any power source. Electrical power is only required for 1-2 seconds to initially magnetize or demagnetise the mold. The M-TECS' electronic controls constantly monitors the various parameters of the magnetic clamping system. The status of the clamp system is interfaced with the machine controls. A fault will signal and shut down the press, protecting the operator and the equipment. Click to read the safety features and other details of this new system, for both plastic and rubber mold change.
Show goers will see an electric injection machine in nearly every press maker’s booth this year, and electric/hydraulic hybrids in several.
The M-TECS Clamp and Go magnetic clamping system from the Hilma Div. of Carr Lane Roemheld Mfg., Ellisville, Mo., provides a standardized, ready-to-mount solution for 2-second clamping on injection machines.
Improved safety features and controls mark the changes to the upgraded M-Tecs 130 magnetic quick-change mold-clamping system from Hilma Div. of Carr Lane Roemheld, St.
