Activator Improves Processing of Azo Exothermic Blowing Agents
WEB EXCLUSIVE A new activator/kicker is said to be the most effective of its kind for reducing the decomposition temperature of azodicarbonamide exothermic blowing agents.
WEB EXCLUSIVE A new activator/kicker is said to be the most effective of its kind for reducing the decomposition temperature of azodicarbonamide exothermic blowing agents. Developed by South Korea’s Kum Yang Co., Ltd., and offered here by RitChem Co, Inc, Pleasantville, N.Y., Cellex BS is a zinc-based organometallic complex that imparts no odor or staining to the finished foam. When Cellex BS is mixed with RitChem’s Cellcom AC azo blowing agents, the blend releases gas at a temperature as low as 140 C while retaining normal line speed. Cellex BS is useful when heat-sensitive substrates are being used or when reduction in plasticizer fumes is sought.
