BASF to Spin Off Pigments Business
By the second half of 2016, BASF plans to have spun off its pigments business into a new entity.
Effective January 2016, BASF Corp, Florham Park, N.J., will have formed a global business unit (GBU) combining all of its pigments activities. Within the second half of next year, the company intends to spin off its pigments business and establish separate legal entities.
With one of the broadest portfolio of products and technology, BASF has a leading position in the pigments market. The new GBU is likely to be headquartered in the Ludwigshafen area, near BASF’s European headquarters.
