Color and additives masterbatch supplier Techmer PM, Clinton, Tenn., has expanded its engineering thermoplastics portfolio with the acquisition of custom compounder TP Composites, Ashton, Pa. Now a part of Techmer Engineered Solutions (TES) business unit, TP Composites boasts a broad portfolio of resins, from PP to PEEK. “TP Composites is a great fit for our engineering compounds business, which we continue to develop with our long-time partner Mitsui Plastics,” said John Manuck, Techmer’s chairman and CEO. Techmer launched a joint venture that became TES in 2004 when it aimed to expand beyond its traditional masterbatch business into the engineered plastics compound market.
