Pactiv Evergreen, a manufacturer and distributor of food packaging and beverage cartons, will offer customers foam polystyrene packaging products that incorporate post-consumer product.
Select Pactiv Evergreen packaging will use ISCC Plus-certified recycled polystyrene from AmSty. ISCC Plus is an internationally recognized certification process for circular content, which audits the supply chain from end-to-end. AmSty uses advanced recycling technologies to convert recovered post-consumer product into new feedstock.
Pactiv Evergreen will begin offering the new products to customers in the first half of 2023.
AmSty, headquartered in The Woodlands, TX, is an integrated producer of styrene monomer and polystyrene. The company is a joint venture equally owned by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP and Trinseo LLC.
