Two companies of the Automotive Components Div. of The Windsor Mold Group, Windsor, Ont., recently commissioned several 2200-ton multi-component injection machines from Engel Machinery Inc., York, Pa. Autoplas in Bellevue, Ohio, has started up multiple 2200-ton twin-platen combi M duo presses (the exact number is proprietary), each with rotating cores and three injection units—one on the stationary platen and two piggy-backed on the moving platen. Engel also supplied multiple 2200-ton combi M duo presses with two injection units (one on each platen) to Windsor Mold Group’s newest facility, Mexiplas, a greenfield operation in Querétaro, Mexico.
