Since it launched in 2015, the Extrusion Conference has become the nexus point for plastics extrusion professionals to gather, connect and learn. In the decade since its creation and, particularly after the pandemic, the rise of webinars has negatively impacted some live events. Webinars have their place as a means to share information — at Plastics Technology we partner with many industry leaders to provide our audience with best practices and the latest and greatest in tech via webinars — but one-off webinars and other disparate virtual gatherings are no substitute for an in-person conference and the unique knowledge gathering, networking and connective experience it creates. While logged into a webinar, you will not bump into an old colleague, meet in person for the first time a new supplier or, over drinks at a reception, debate the presentation you just saw with like-minded

professionals.
Next month, that nexus point of the extrusion world will be in Boston at the Extrusion 2025 Conference. Taking place May 20-21 at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza, the event will feature 28 speakers across six different modules and two days of presentations and networking opportunities. The presenters hail from leading suppliers of extrusion, auxiliary, controls and motor/drive equipment, as well as material and additive producers and leading independent consultants. The six modules walk attendees through the entire extrusion process from pellet and melt preparation through instrumentation, die design and processing, with additional breakouts for troubleshooting, sustainability and emerging technologies.
In terms of networking, the conference is hosting an outing on May 19 at Fenway Park as the Red Sox take on the Mets (separate registration required). On Tuesday May 20, after the first day of the event, there will be an offsite reception at the Sam Adams Boston Taproom, which is included in the conference registration, and features appetizers and drinks. Also included in the registration will be breakfasts, breaks and lunches during the conference.
The deadline for discounted hotel rooms is April 25 (we encourage you to lock that down as it will be graduation season in university-laden New England); and to secure the Early Bird rate, you must register by April 18.
Whether you are a grizzled plastics extrusion professional or a newbie to the industry, make plans today to join your associates for a unique learning and networking experience that you cannot log into from your office.
