Qlar Feeder Can Accomodate a Variety of Materials
Loss-in-weight feeder engineered for handling postconsumer reclaim.
At October’s K 2025, Qlar (formerly Schenck Process) showed the SIMPLEX FB, a gravimetric stainless-steel loss-in-weight feeder with a high feed rate that it says can be used to dose a variety of materials — from glass and carbon fibers to plastic flakes, cellulose and other virgin or recycled materials.
The feeder was designed to be particularly suited for handling postconsumer materials, thanks to the bottom-driven agitator and the machine’s low center of gravity. An integrated sensor system also allows data to be collected and transmitted in real time.

The control system enables fill-level measurement and bridge detection as well as moisture measurement of the material, says Qlar. Possible blockages in the discharge can be flagged early so jammed material can be removed before a major backlog occurs, according to the company.
Users can save optimal operating values, such as speed and fill level, for different materials as well.
