PiovanGroup Announces Transition In Leadership In North America
John Erkert ascends to Regional CEO position for North America as industry veteran Kirk Winstead retires.
PiovanGroup, world leader in the design and manufacture of process automation systems for resin and food applications, proudly announces a significant transition in its leadership as a long-term employee steps into the role of Regional CEO, while a seasoned executive retires after 36 years of dedicated service.
After careful consideration, John G. Erkert has been appointed new Regional Chief Executive Officer - North America, effective May 1, 2024, reporting to Filippo Zuppichin, PiovanGroup CEO. Erkert brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the company's values, culture and strategic direction, having served most recently as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for over a decade prior to becoming COO. His proven track record of achievements and contributions over 29 years with group companies demonstrates his unwavering commitment to the company’s success.
Outgoing CEO Kirk Winstead will be retiring effective June 14, after 36 years of service with companies in the group. “Throughout his tenure, Kirk has proven to be a strong and charismatic leader playing a pivotal role in Conair, IPEG Inc. and, most recently, PiovanGroup – North America. His leadership, dedication and knowledge have been instrumental in delivering the company’s growth and the successful integration with PiovanGroup,” Zuppichin says.
In his words, Winstead expressed confidence in the company's future under Erkert’s leadership. “I am immensely proud of what we have achieved during my time at PiovanGroup,” Winstead says. “As I step into retirement, I am confident that John is the right leader to steer the company and organization to even greater heights.”
Erkert commented on his appointment, saying, “It is an honor and privilege to be trusted with the role of Regional CEO, PiovanGroup - North America.
