Educational Grant and Student Scholarships Open
The Society of Plastics Engineers’ Mold Technologies division is accepting applications for a $5,000 educational grant and a new $3,000 student scholarship honoring Glenn Beall.
The Mold Technologies Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has announced a new $3,000 student scholarship in the name of Plastics Hall of Fame member Glenn Beall.
Available to undergraduate students enrolled in a plastics manufacturing engineering program or other STEM-related career path, the scholarship honors the former engineer, consultant and instructor who is credited as a leading educator on the topic of plastic part design. Application forms are available from Division Education Chair Joe Karpinski and must be received by May 31, 2024, for consideration for Fall 2024 Funding.
The division is also accepting grant applications for up to $5,000 for a special program or project at a training center, community college or university for use in plastics manufacturing engineering, tooling or plastics design. Application forms are available from Joe Karpinski and must also be returned by May 31, 2024.
