TESTING/MEASURING: Laser Design Distributes Tomelleri Portable CMMs
Laser Design is now the master North American distributor for the Space Arm coordinating measuring machines from Italy's Tomelleri Engineering.
Laser Design Inc., Minneapolis, is now the master North American distributor for the Space Arm coordinate measuring machines from Italy’s Tomelleri Engineering, a firm with 25 years’ experience in portable articulated-arm CMMs. The new line consists of four families: the economical Space model, mainstream Space Plus, “super-accurate” Space Micron, and large-scale Space Exporer.
These units are said to be distinguished from competing units by an electronic brake that prevents the arm from crashing to the floor; temperature compensation for maintaining accuracy in the shop environment, a floating probe to eliminate operator-induced hand heat and vibrations, and a standard two-year warranty.
